Privacy Policy

We keep this simple. Here's what we collect, why, and who we share it with.
What we collect
- Name and email address — to send you listing alerts and communicate with you.
- Phone number — if you connect via WhatsApp for alerts.
- Search preferences — budget, neighborhoods, bedroom count — so we can match you to relevant listings.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Usage data — search queries, listing clicks, session activity. Used to improve the product and understand how people use GabeRents.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't run advertising or share your data with ad networks.
- We don't store your credit card information.
Who we share data with
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- SendGrid — email delivery for listing alerts and transactional emails.
- PostHog — anonymized product analytics. No PII in events.
- Supabase — our database. Your preferences and alert settings are stored here.
We don't share your personal information with listing sources, landlords, or any third parties for marketing purposes.
How we store your data
Your data is stored in Supabase on AWS infrastructure in the US. We use reasonable security practices, but no system is perfectly secure. Don't put anything in your search preferences you wouldn't want in a database.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser localStorage to remember your search count and email across sessions so you don't have to re-enter them. PostHog may set cookies for session tracking. We don't use advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time. Email gabe@gaberents.com and we'll take care of it within a few days.
Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll let you know by email. Continuing to use GabeRents after changes are posted means you accept them.
